Interests

The things that keep me curious, moving and occasionally off-grid.

A personal website should feel personal. This page is deliberately less polished-corporate and more “what would we end up talking about over coffee?”

🚣🏻‍♂️

Indoor rowing

I like the mix of technique, structure and measurable progress - especially when a workout has a clear purpose instead of just “go hard.”

🚴🏻‍♂️

Cycling

Gravel rides, longer routes and the quiet satisfaction of planning a route with fewer cars and better scenery.

🏒

Ice hockey

A long-time interest and one of the sports I can happily discuss at a much more detailed level than most people expect.

🎺

Trumpet + bass

Music is a different kind of systems thinking: timing, listening, structure, improvisation and knowing when not to play.

🎛️

DJ culture

I still enjoy the craft of sequencing tracks, finding forgotten gems and making a playlist feel like a journey rather than a pile of songs.

🗣️

Learning German

A practical long-term project in communication, confidence, deliberate practice and occasionally very stubborn grammar.

🗺️

Travel by neighborhood

I prefer discovering cities in clusters: one area at a time, local food, a bit of history, something odd, and enough unscheduled time.

🧠

Decision-making

I’m fascinated by how good decisions are made under uncertainty - probabilities, pre-mortems, reversibility and cognitive bias.

Personal knowledge systems

Anki, Obsidian and the eternal question: how do you capture useful knowledge without turning note-taking into a second job?

Work matters. So do the things that make you interesting to work with.

Movement through space, literally and figuratively, creates stories - narrative is migration squared.
